DLF IPL 2010: Royal Challengers Bangalore in Champions League t20

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Deccan Chargers in the third-place play-off match to qualify for the Champions League t20.

RCB bowled brilliantly as they de-charged the Chargers for 82. RCB’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Captain Anil Kumble as he picked up 4 wickets for 16 runs. He was well supported by the likes of Kallis and Praveen Kumar. Anirudh Singh and Venugopal Rao are only two batsmen’s who got some runs for the Chargers. Anirudh Singh scored 40 followed by Venu’s 24.

With 83 runs to chase it was an cakewalk for RCB as they won the match by 9 wickets and 6 Overs to spare courtesy Rahul Dravid and Kevin Pietersen as they scored 35 not out and 29 not out respectively. Both of them added a partnership of 50 runs and that was enough to guide them to an emphatic victory in their last game of IPL, 2010.
