Poor Champions League T20 and poor, poor organisers of the tournament. Just when one thought that the public interest in the tournament was growing after a lacklustre first year, the match-fixing scandal has diverted all the attention from the tournament to Pakistani cricket.
It remains to be seen how the CLT20 will respond to this. Fortunately for them, they still have the advantage of having a week before the start of the tournament, and if a clean tournament can be delivered, then the public interest could come back.

The teams participating in the Champions League T20 in South Africa this year have named their final squads, with Royal Challengers Bangalore retaining three foreign players who were also eligible to represent their home teams in the tournament. The Warriors, Victoria and Central Districts - the home teams of Jacques Kallis, Cameron White and Ross Taylor respectively - have been compensated US$200,000 each by the Bangalore franchise according to the tournament's rules.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Deccan Chargers in the third-place play-off match to qualify for the Champions League t20.
RCB bowled brilliantly as they de-charged the Chargers for 82. RCB’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Captain Anil Kumble as he picked up 4 wickets for 16 runs. He was well supported by the likes of Kallis and Praveen Kumar. Anirudh Singh and Venugopal Rao are only two batsmen’s who got some runs for the Chargers.
